John Gregory Stockton

photoJohn Gregory Stockton completed his degree in Electronic Engineering in 2014 at University of Cagliari . He started collaborating with the Agile Group as a Software consultant in February 2015.

Projects and activities:

-The development of event based video surveillance systems.

-Design and development of an event based system ,which models the process of software production.

-Design and development of a prototype medical application system

-Software Open source (Linux).

Gavina Baralla

Gavina Baralla is a fixed-term Assistant Researcher (RTDa) in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Cagliari, within the scientific sector INF/01 – Computer Science.

Her research focuses on methodologies and technologies for software engineering in the field of blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies, with particular attention to smart contract development and analysis, security of decentralized systems, LLM-assisted models for the design and testing of blockchain applications, integration between DLT, IoT, and Edge Computing, and blockchain applications in areas such as e-health, heritage asset management, and supply chain systems.

She is a member of the Agile Group at the University of Cagliari and coordinates the research unit in IoT & LLM-Assisted Blockchain Engineering (AI4SE & Edge-DLT). She is also a founding partner of the university spin-off Quantum Futuris S.r.l., which develops advanced software solutions in quantum computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and IoT.

She is a lecturer in the Database and Data Analytics course within the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Informatics and Data Analytics (IADA) at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Cagliari.

She holds a Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) at the University of Cagliari, with a dissertation focused on enabling technologies for the development of smart cities. She previously earned a Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering at the same university.

She is the author or co-author of several papers published in international conferences and journals in the fields of blockchain, smart contracts, and distributed systems. She contributes to scientific and project activities related to DLT, including competitive projects on traceability, e-health, data security, and decentralized architectures.
