Opening Abstract:<\/p>\n

Applications of Blockchain technology to a simulated energy community are also among the interest of the Workshop
\nSome authors employ Simulink and the public Ethereum Sepolia blockchain to perform real-time modeling and simulation of energy transactions within a renewable energy community and in parallel to securely record those transactions in the Ethereum Sepolia blockchain and for managing interactions
\nwithin the energy community. Main objectives of the study are to address the balance between surplus energy production
\nand demand among residential nodes, to manage the dynamic sharing of surplus energy generated from renewable sources enhancing overall efficiency, reducing dependency on the grid, and finally to obtain cost savings through local energy trading. Results show that it is possible to optimize
\nresource distribution, to enhance sustainability and to gain significant benefits from adopting public blockchains within
\nenergy communities.
\nAs a final remark we\u2019d like to mention that this work has been supported by a national project related to Energy Community management and that renewable Energy Communities management through blockchain technology is becoming a major topic of interest among practical blockchain applications
