Maria Ilaria Lunesu graduated from the University of Cagliari with a thesis entitled “Porting from Smalltalk to Java of a Financial Market Model Simulator” with Prof. Giulio Concas as supervisor.

In 2013 she holds the  PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering and Doctor Europaeus with the defense of  thesis entitled “Process Software Simulation Model of Lean-Kanban Approach” with supervisor Prof. Marchesi. She is currently postdoc at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Her research interests focus on:

-Study and applications of Agile and Lean methodologies evaluating their potential for risk management in software development processes.

-Study of startup dynamics and ecosystem.

-Study of ICOs and the main success factors and analysis of ICO evaluation websites.

From the A.A. 2013-2014 she is the tutor of the Software Engineering course at DMI.

She collaborates with the University of Bolzano and the University of Tampere.
